Stormwater systems and installations is the general name for systems that collect and safely discharge the rain water that accumulates as a result of precipitation.

Similar to wastewater installations and other installations, the main purpose of stormwater installations is to remove the unwanted water from the building and discharge this water through safe channels. In buildings without stormwater systems, the rain water that also contains pests and various harmful materials will remain in the building, causing unintended consequences. Therefore, the installation of stormwater collection installation systems is in many cases essential to ensure the necessary comfort and even to protect human health. 

When designing stormwater collection systems, the precipitation chart specific for each province is taken into account and the roof’s surface area is used as a variable in the calculations.

Although the stormwater systems are connected to the wastewater installations in some applications, this is generally considered a bad practice and they should not be connected to the wastewater installation.
